I was just having a marathon of Kitchen Nightmares. I don't think all of it is true - as always, reality TV involves at least some edits, dramatization and a lot of dramatic music for effect.
But anyway, there's no doubt that he's a successful chef, with all his Michelin stars. He's yelling a lot when he needs to, but inside I think he's actually a very nice guy who just happens to care about the quality food and the people in the business.
What do you think about the famous chefs, today and in the past?

Re: Famous chefs (Ramsay, Oliver, Bourdain etc.)
My opinion will probably make me come off sounding judgemental so
ill just add before I start that Its possible id be similar with fame and fortune . .
probably not though l;ol .
I remember when for cooking shows there was only Julia Childs on pbs
and that was pretty much real tv without the fakery you mentioned ,
kinda off topic but kinda not - I never realized how dumb a lot of celebs
and even my friends are thanks to President Trump .
I liked Olivers show a lot when he first got on tv a long time back forget the title .
was pretty much my fav show during that time when the food network just started.
Bourdains pretty interesting show traveling the world but politically an idiot .
Ramsay I never watched much but obviously seen a few of em and it is entertaining .
Yan can cook was pretty good for his time and another ancient pbs show .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idGvS0pKiC4
he used wear aprons people sent him and one time someone sent one said
wok your dog
it was as he is hilarious
That old Cajun guy was pretty funny for the time too .
Justin Wilson - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oScmodG_riM
Bobby Flay and that other guy he used to cook with on their original bbq show was good .
Thinkin' about it now that fame goes to some peoples heads and then they go full retard .
oh yeah that two fat ladies show was grand .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQ4YMVGgsMU
I loved Every Day Italian with Giada Delaurentis she was pro and stupid crazy fine .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQISchHlo48
oh ya yeah I actually met Rachel Ray before she was famous was working at a supermarket
near me like giving out free samples . She was totally flirtin with me but i having a gf at the
time wasn't interested and co-incidentally she ended up marrying a guy named guy . . .
anyway that's about all ,
peace out .

Ramsay is actually a really nice guy! Here are two clips that immediately come to mind that show thatElaini wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2017 2:35 pmI was just having a marathon of Kitchen Nightmares. Blind Chef Christine feeling down about her apple pie
Ramsay on Masterchef Junior
He also did an AMA on Reddit if anyone is interested.

lol the meme! I showed it to my bf, he didn't get it. He never played those games. ::facepalm::
I like to watch Julia Child re-runs even now. She had a great show and was very relate-able.
Jaques Pepin also has a good show.
Another PBS cooking show I like is Healthful Indian Flavors with Alamelu
Oh and I especially enjoy the Great British Baking Show! I did a lot of that kind of stuff as a kid cos it was just.. fun! (unsupervised childhood + 1950's cookbooks = baking!)
I would like to see some of these shows have the challenge that those of us with food intolerance have to do all the time though.
No eggs. No butter, milk, cream or dairy products. (and for a real challenge, no wheat!)
Now bake a tort. Ready.... Go!
