IMVU Closes its User Forums Feb 24 2017

Its a sad day for all us forum regulars

In its place folks now are to go to IMVU Help, and then use the discussions. As of this writing its not quite ready for prime time, but track history being what it is, its probably not going to get much better.

I am having a FB discussion with ChattyNatty (Marcus) and I don't think he can grasp why they would do what they have - but it's done.

They can't roll back. It would be too humiliating for the moron(s) who thought this was a good product direction.

I keep going to look at the old forums and although I knew I loved them, I didn't realise how much I loved them. Sad times indeed. But now I see a light..bring it on

IMVU at it's finest a per usual pulling the rug out from under our feet. Of course they have given us that piece of carp in Next.. which.. sorry I hate.... but that is not really user friendly thanks but no thanks. This is a great place where we can share information and hopefully show a united front... and not worry about what we say is going to get us banned lol.

they should have after they saw it malfunction.

I actually tried out the New Discussion Board on IMVU and Oh My God!

I was overwhelmed at first, but after I familiarized myself with it, I became comfortable with it.

Though I'm *sure* all the usable features and organization will be forthcoming. After all, the catalog started out in total chaos and look at it now after what.. 12 years? Yep. Every confidence. lol

Still, I am trying to do what I can there but they sure don't make it easy.

I've pretty much lost interests in the "Discussion" board also. It's too cramped. But from time to time, I'll peek in to see what topics have been spammed.

I believe there was once a philosophical question regarding the ship of Theseus. I believe that the ship over time had its many part replaced, one after another until there was none of the original ship left. This leads to the question "Is it still the Ship of Theseus"?

If IMVU replaces all of its parts is it still IMVU? Or is it just IMVU in name alone?

It's awful. Designed by imbeciles who apparently don't know what a forum is for, and then coded by incompetents.
I can't understand why Baba is back and posting again. Why post spam into a 'forum' (for want of a better word) where no-one can actually see the posts?

im not surprised by anything they do anymore. They would be happy with themselves though. They have found a way to silence and bury their critics. The new community centre is ridiculous and hardly an improvement.

One thing I always enjoyed with the old forums was being able to leave them 'opened' on my browser all day. Come back a little while later, a quick refresh of the page and jump into a new topic or see who may have responded to an existing one. I hate to admit it, but it was almost a 'ritual' with me. I enjoyed it. This new 'Discussion' is just a total cluster. I could only hope that who ever came up with that idea got fired......and even though it's never nice to wish ill wills upon someone, in this case I can't help but feel this way.

OMG, I never seen something more ugly, complicated, hard to understand and to use that this new forum...
Really hope that I'll be no longer in need to ask something on it, because I don't know how and where to place my questions. Also think I'll leave any other activity on the forum, i.e. my shop advertising....if they wanted to find something new to be sure that users are bored and leave IMVU, well, they did. For me, the IMVU forum is over.

IMVU is the only company capable of producing the garbage they want to push onto us. Was it asked for? No. Was it needed? No. Do we, their customers like it? No. Does IMVU Care? Of course they don't because we've adjusted to everything they've thrown at us so far, they won't change it they just expect us to deal with their crap again and again.

When is enough, enough?
