Re: No No No.....WHY???
Well... it will be interesting to see what will come out of these new developments. >.> I know Jinx only by name, but I understand she has somewhat of a reputation?
Also, I'm not very familiair with .fbx files, but I don't really understand why they would need to create a new tab in create mode to add an fbx file. Wouldn't it be more user-friendly to keep all mesh uploading on the same tab, or is there a more technical reason to chose this approach that I am not aware of?

Re: No No No.....WHY???
yeah well, the idea is not bad, to be able to export to imvu other models than 3dmax or blender, etc. It can open the creator program to other people as well. The other day i saw a free 3d modeler webpage that was sooo easy to use and i thought, how awesome would it be to export these directly into imvu, specially to the 3d challenged like me *_*AThousandTales wrote: ↑Sun May 21, 2017 5:06 amWell... it will be interesting to see what will come out of these new developments. >.> I know Jinx only by name, but I understand she has somewhat of a reputation?

Re: No No No.....WHY???
I imagine it would indeed make it much easier for developers who do not use 3ds max to start importing their meshes.gaf210 wrote: ↑Wed May 24, 2017 3:00 pmyeah well, the idea is not bad, to be able to export to imvu other models than 3dmax or blender, etc. It can open the creator program to other people as well. Re: New Creator Liaison (No No No...Why?)
I wanted to drop a little history in here...since Sikk mentioned "thief"....
TO ME it is important to know who is out there representing us to staff...
http://secure.imvu.com/catalog/modules. ... sc&start=0
http://www.imvu.com/catalog/modules.php ... sc&start=0
On a personal note...I think she is reckless with our program. I was personally effected by her changing a mesh DURING A IMVU sponsored contest RECENTLY - and it was brushed off like...oh that's okay. Repercussions....and lack of accountability...make me not trust.
Prove me wrong.

Re: No No No.....WHY???
heh, i would think the same really, i think the sizes from 2005 are not the same ones we can handle during this times, but i guess the people that have problems loading heavy rooms would not be happy with that change.... maybe lifting the limit a bit could be fine, lifting it a lot, not that much.AThousandTales wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2017 4:59 amI imagine it would indeed make it much easier for developers who do not use 3ds max to start importing their meshes.gaf210 wrote: ↑Wed May 24, 2017 3:00 pmyeah well, the idea is not bad, to be able to export to imvu other models than 3dmax or blender, etc. It can open the creator program to other people as well. Maybe they'll change that limit too?

Re: New Creator Liaison (No No No...Why?)
Ah, maybe they'll implement a feature where we can upload both a high and a low resolution of a product's texture files, and which one is shown to the user would depend on their internet connection speed... which would mean more work for creators though.
Soooo... maybe not. >.>;

Re: New Creator Liaison (No No No...Why?)
Well i heard over there that they are thinking in adding support for hq textures... it would sound reasonable for them to allow bigger sized products. But we will have to wait and see ^^AThousandTales wrote: ↑Mon May 29, 2017 12:16 pmAh, maybe they'll implement a feature where we can upload both a high and a low resolution of a product's texture files, and which one is shown to the user would depend on their internet connection speed... which would mean more work for creators though.

I like the quality adjustment idea.
The new FBX importer is great for new devs...but I am worried it will open the doors for more game rip devs.
