Messed up: Peer Review and Tiers

Post by Elaini » Tue Sep 05, 2017 11:33 am

Alright, so here we go again!

Sorry again for redirecting you to the IMVU "forums" for news... but the IMVU staff made changes to Peer Review they didn't see fit to inform us about, and now some products have been stuck in Peer Review for days.

Peer Review Changes in multiple boards by Jeff

Check out an important part of the conversation:
Mark Anthony (09/05/2017): there is a recent change to the peer review
Mark Anthony (09/05/2017): if your definition of normal is how the peer review works before, then yes, it is not normal anymore since we changed something
Me (09/05/2017): Any prediction to fix your algorithm?
Mark Anthony (09/05/2017): fixing is only required for issue and errors, this is not applicable to the peer review
Mark Anthony (09/05/2017): since this change is intended and not accidental
- This makes it clear that there was a schedule for what was done, but they did not deem it important to warn us about.

Fast PR or slow PR, does it really matter that much? In the end...

- With fast PR the items that should have been failed will be flagged.
- With slow PR the items are most likely are most likely sent to the staff for a review, automatically.

In both this or that the work still belongs to the staff. PR is only postponing their own part, there's no way they can avert their responsibility.

Second Life doesn't have PR, and their flagging works just fine.

In their defense, They did have a 3-day weekend, and I'm sure they are inundated with the submissions and responses received during this time period.
Let's not criticize until its all worked out :) And as far as the people crying about the Trigger Music: Its not a war on trigger music, its a war on products that don't meet the TOS, "trigger music" just happens to often fall in to that category.

Ive been asked about the trigger music products... are they doing anything special against those this time? or just the regular thing about flagging them for copyright infringement?

I get tired of hearing them say "It is working how it should" when people ask if they are planning on fixing things....it is a response I am sure they have been trained with. Maybe instead we should ask how do they plan on adjusting the algorithm so that it works better for US? Or at least disclose what they are doing. The staff keep us in the dark so much.

Better get to uploading stuff while it lasts. It would seem everything is passing for the time being.
If you have anything stuck, just edit the product and resubmit.

I submitted a batch of 12 triggerless animated accessories. They all went through in seconds with no bigger complications.
