Crash when making an animation only with some bones

Post by Elaini » Wed Jul 26, 2017 12:22 pm

This only happens in 3DS Max when I export certain bone movements, since I only want to affect the bones starting from the neck and right clavicle. However, when I export all of the bones in the body it doesn't crash.

What causes it and how can I help it? There is such a thread in the old forums from 2016 but it was never really solved by the look of it.

Older thread I know... but this is doable two ways I believe. I only know one way, but you'd have to hunt down the man.

The way I do this is by using the WorldViz exporter because it actually exports my smoothing groups properly and can also export select bones.

Problem is you need Nerseus' converter.

Oh yeah, and the second way is by exporting all the bones and editing the .XSF . But I've never had to do this, so I'm not sure on the specifics.
