Deriving Head Issue

Post by Extinction » Wed Apr 19, 2017 3:25 pm

I hope this is the right section. ;3;

So I've been deriving off heads lately, and I've run into a slight problem.
Oh the 20+ heads I've derived, 2 of them didn't take to the rescaling I put in.

I input 0.7 for the all, but the head is staying at it's original 0.9 size.
I have no idea how to fix this, other then to either hide it and rederive, or if it was still an option, to override it.

Any help is appreciated. :)

Check for any other scalers down the line from the head back to the pelvis node. Or even back to the root. I know I have had a lot of issues with anything else that scales the avatar that comes before the bone I try to scale. One problem I did have as well was a stupid nose ring that when I wore it, messed up my arm scalers and make one arm giant and the other normal.

Do those heads scale fine when it is the only thing you are wearing? Try removing every item you have on and wear just the head, see if the scale takes. If so start putting on, or taking off one item at a time till you find what's "playin' with your emotions smokey!" :D That stuff frustrates me so much. >.<

Two other things to check are that the Mesh Scale box is ticked: Image

and the Node Name matches the bone you are scaling: Image

They should already be set up correctly but it's worth checking.

When I originally derived them, I was wearing the base avi. So none of my scalers and such were causing any conflictions. :c

Both of these were already there, HOWEVER!
I decided for the shits and giggles to untick the Mesh Scale box, apply and then retick it. Fixed the issue. :D

I completely forgot about those boxes.
Thanks! :D
