CCleaner has been known as a trusted cleaner app releasing disk space and solving registry problems, but their servers were cracked and malware was injected by the hackers in their updates during August and September. This malware allows their creators to remote control the infected computer. However, Piriform the developer of CCleaner is aware of the problem and their newest updates should solve the problem at least partially.
