I noticed yesterday that DA made an 'official tier thread' and said all others would be deleted....big issue is it's hard to find a damn thing there, you can't update numbers and people are still thinking you get points for posting....time to remove tiers altogether...

I agree.

It makes me sad to see DA5 holding on to the IMVU "forums".

She said it has actually made her job easier - but at what expense?

Ours.
How did you post only 5 characters? I'm thinking you're magical.

The discussion board is so sterile. Maybe I'm alone in this, but it feels so "controlled". I worry, if we say "well at least we still have _____________"
then whatever fills the blank makes the ears perk up on the axe men(people).

I cringe every time someone makes a "suggestion" or wants a feature upgraded. Regular users should know damn well by now that IMVU can't do anything without screwing it up.

It's the accidental mentioning that peaks the feds interests. I've heard so many suggestions that were solid ideas, and requests sorely needed, fall on conveniently deaf ears. If only to be a fly on the wall in one of imvu's decision making meetings. It would be interesting to know how weighted the opinions are- like do we as users/consumers have the least say, with creators and VIP only a little more, and only the best interests for head employees, and stockholders or board members or whatever? I have no clue how big businesses are run, but I do know that making a profit is THE THING, their special purpose.
Did you know that the most successful people on Wall Street, and big businesses, have highly sociopathic tendencies?

I think being a sociopath is a prerequisite for holding a position at IMVU. :)

Considering the speed at which they are implementing the fixes/improvements I'm wondering more and more if it is just hidden and user unfriendly by design.

I'm just not seeing it used that much other than repetitive help ticket issues. I glance for questions to answer, there just aren't any. If users cant find or use the system to ask questions or complain does that mean the questions and complaints no longer exist?

I... tried.

That less than well thought out attempt at a discussion board made me not only want to pull out my super short hair, but gouge my eyes out with a rusty spork. It was completely un-navigable (is that a word? I don't even know!) and hurt my poor widdle American brain. Whoever thought it up should be drug into the street and shot.

I think IMVU made the "discussions" with one of those "build-a-website" things...

I saw this today when I wanted to go over and check my help ticket.

Things I don't like:

-Login is wonky
-Long load time
-Remembering to use # or @ so that you can follow a discussion
-The reading of discussions doesn't "flow." I don't like reading backwards. I'd rather read in sequence, like a page by page book. It would be easier to read.
-Search is pretty much useless if you're searching for a specific topic
