Daily Spin on NEXT
Have any of you received crap on the Daily Spin that you would never use? or found inappropriate? I've been told they tend to go by what people buy often..Um, I don't condone drugs, and would never buy anything to do with that. Don't get me wrong, those who participate do what they do but, I, myself do not and will not take part, I don't judge. I just don't want to be "gifted" anything to do with drugs from IMVU. They seem to forget that not everyone wants that stuff, and not to mention there ARE kids on this site. So disgusted. I did post about it in their disgusting boards...lets see what they have to say.....Ha.
Re: Daily Spin on NEXT
I've probably got about 20 gifts from the free spin and I doubt I'd use any of them .
Unlike most users I don't really have tons of clothes et al to the point where I'd remove anything from my inventory .
But I just may start doing that due to these un-wanted gifts , beyond me why they don't just give you things from your
wishlist or in the cases those who don't have a wishlist only IMVU official type items . That would avoid all this non-sense
and when you think about it encourage users to have a wishlist and shop . To add they should use it as cross promotion with
the music scene but due to being retardiculously cheap that will never happen . They should really even add a simple decline
prize in the case of emojis and gifts - spin again . Because I think the most you can win credit wise is like 250 which is few and
far between , mostly you only win under 50 . . and that would actually save them money on expenditures .
Can't wait to read what they don't say . .

Re: Daily Spin on NEXT
I've gotten way too many Spanish voiceboxes and butt enhancers by now. I also once got a hairstyle by a disabled developer, it was a nice hairstyle but who knows what the developer was disabled for. I've gotten some pretty nice things too, mostly hairstyles but once I got shoes that go with an outfit that I owned, I mean what are the chances? No UFI products or drug related products yet thankfully, but I've heard some stories...

Re: Daily Spin on NEXT
Thankfully, I haven't received any junk items as of yet or someone's custom/high priced or display only items (knock on wood lol). Most of it was silly promo credits not worth getting excited over. The few items I did receive though were nice items; dresses and shoes from a popular developer and a dress from a lesser known creator but still nice enough to wear in public lol. I did receive a DJ Sounds Voicebox which isn't too bad (at least all the triggers work and the voice is loud and clear) but it's not something I would use often.

Re: Daily Spin on NEXT
I do like Bots idea, they should gift us off our wishlists, or better yet give us an option where we can decline. Its not that I don't appreciate the gifts, its just mostly crap we wouldn't buy or need anyway. Oh, and I also got HUGE boobs as a gift....um, yeah...I like my own...tks. :p

Re: Daily Spin on NEXT
I can't even remember what all I got (spanish voice box once, 15 predits also I think) as I generally just close the thing. I hate stuff popping under my mouse like that I wish there were a way to uncheck the box for it or something.
I haven't even felt like logging in to imvu lately. This mess they made of the forums disrupted my flow so to speak. Now I pop into the website, delete the spam, check any messages and just leave. No more browsing the forums, clicking random catalogs, opening the client to try stuff on... maybe derive something... it's just... gone. No inspiration now.
I hadn't realized how much I actually used the old forums for.
Other websites get much more attention now. lol
Perhaps one day I'll feel like making stuff for imvu again, who knows. But seeing as I've been just... millimeters away from deleting all three accounts lately... I dunno. I keep hanging on to them *just in case* things get better. I just don't log in very much now.

LMAO, you guys are actually playing that stupid thing? It's just there to keep people on next. Bad Pixel Pushers... bad, you are all grounded.

Re: Daily Spin on NEXT
Hey wow! It is no longer popping a big box under my mouse, instead they made it so it's a little banner that fades away after a few seconds. That's certainly better
(and also encouraging to me that there *are* little improvements every so often)
Hehe don't chide me for using Next
I only click on the Next page to register that I logged in so I don't have to install and load the client. :p (I load it fresh each time in a sandbox) I feel like by the time they get everything working correctly over there the world will have moved on to another internet format! lol
Still, a few small functional improvements are encouraging.

I don't actually use next but I use the imvu mobile app a lot to write and read messages and it pops up there daily. So if they were trying to get to me use next then hah!

Re: Daily Spin on NEXT
The Next has an option to ignore Daily spin now. So I dont do it anymore since I'm not forced into spinning every time I go on Next. I only wish they could have kept pulse on the imvu original page because Next is useless for me.

Re: Daily Spin on NEXT
It seems to me that the daily spin has been improved. To me, it looks like they might be choosing your items based on the keywords you have been using in your shop searches. It might be a coincidence but I've recently gotten items that have been relevant to what I've been looking for in the shop and that they are also handing out quality items from the past, received a vintage dress that was made in 2009.

Re: Daily Spin on NEXT
I have always been an opponent on IMVU deciding what I want to shop for or look at - as it prevents me from finding something new I hadn't thought might be interesting. It actually hurts creators. I don't like the junk I receive when I do get an item...but it is a nice surprise from the everyday 15 promo whoop-de-doo prize.
The spin-to-win was removed before - because some cupcake decided it was "gambling" - and some moron cupcake whined about it breaking ToS. I see it's return as a desperate grab for trying to get new users with no investment in the site to come back every day.
What they used to have a LOOOOOONG time ago was a 50 promo credits reward if you looked at "what's new" in the catalog. THAT generated revenue for everyone and was awesome marketing. I hope someone at IMVU thinks that up as THEIR idea and brings it back....since there is probably no one there who remembers that. It would make someone have a feather in their cap

Re: Daily Spin on NEXT
I just tried it the first time and I got a voice box so high pitched that it hurt my ears.

Re: Daily Spin on NEXT
this is what i got recently:
Spanish voicebox ( i am not spanish.. )
Butt enchanger ( i am not a swag that needs a wide ass)
Boob enchanger ( i am quite happy with my own size, i dont need a z-cup, it will make my avi fall over ).
And a bunch of clothes and hairstyles that are not my style, and doesnt fit on my avi.
Give something from our wishlist, or something thats within our interests, would be nice instead * shakes fist at the spinny thingy *

Re: Daily Spin on NEXT
recently I got this and a few other similar not useful to me voice/dj-boxes.
http://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?pr ... d=29440188
it seems by the reviews posted many others got the same thing/s..
just shows to me that it really isn't random because with the amount of items
in the catalog there should be no reason multiple people win the same thing.ever
I think the only way to change imvu and get them to listen is by petitioning,
unfortunately they'd play with any numbers we'd be able to toss at them stating
it isn't a majority.

Re: Daily Spin on NEXT
Since 9/12 - I have been asking IMVU to explain why we are not being compensated with a Dev Token when someone "wins" our products.
The runaround between CS Agent Raymond who apparently does not speak or write good English has been entertaining.
ShannonMac is looking into the "bug" of us not being paid...after Raymond told me they can do anything they want and NOT pay us.
Anyone else notice and have proof you haven't been paid?
