Burocracy

Post by MisterWhite » Tue Mar 07, 2017 6:14 am

I'd like to express that I think it will be usefull learning from our ol efforts on the IMVU forums. That we need as less possible burocracy rules on posting and how to construct operations on this forum. From contest to commercials here I already see a large ammount of rules, rules, rules - which make it foggy cloudy and burocraticly hard to use.

Let's keep it also simple and understandable to all. Thank you.

Are there any specific rules you currently have an issue with? For example, there are literally only three actual rules in the creator showroom section of the forums, basically to only make of thread for one account, to only advertise IMVU related products and to not sell independent assets. This seems pretty reasonable to me although what he means by "independent assets" is indeed confusing to me as well. If a rule is confusing to you, you can always ask for clarification. I think you might feel like you're seeing rules everywhere because there are not many other threads there yet.

Keef does not want to run this forum like IMVU ran theirs, it is definitely going to be way less strict and he has tried to make it clear in several in his posts, saying things like "Thank you" posts are encouraged, not deleted. But you can't expect there to be no rules what so ever because otherwise it is going to be a complete chaos filled with spam. We all agree here that IMVU went overboard with the restrictions and rules, it is actually why Keef left the IMVU forum mod team when he did, but some rules will still be needed for this forum to be enjoyable.

Bruocracy needs?

Clear rules. Not the do this than that than this than such and voila...your able to place a banner here. I was willing to add mesh information on my work here openly on the right topic. Than I hesitated, because I do not wish to loose on rules.

Basicly what I mean is. Just to keep things simple and normal explained. Not too much english high vocabulairy and overly textual instructions.

If that can be reached than it would mean a clear route through any burocratic rules here. It would mean like what sizes do banners need what sizes can images have etc. Before I burn my nose...I would like it instructed by people working on this forum instead of members. Why is...I hate to burn my fingers on things I should not touch.

Thank you.

Ps. As I hear some background of what happened to Keef is handy to image what went on since I left here because of the same reason I left here about 5 months earlier prior to his exit on the Forum as I hear. He did well. And yes it grew very very very dark on IMVU.

Hey Mister White!

Heard and Understood.

I'm trying to keep the rules here as simple and using as few words as possible so they don't become a bear to read or follow. I don't want to stifle but I also want to keep some sense of order and organization so the forum is usable. The Rules posts are still a work in progress, so any help there is greatly appreciated.

Let me know if something is too vague or using vocabulary that is confusing.

And glad to hear from you again! Welcome!

I see what you mean now and I absolutely agree with you. As someone with English as a second language, I can understand the struggles some users will have if the rules are not clear and simple. If someone finds a rule very confusing or unclear, they should definitely say something, I've already done this myself a few times.

I can totally understand this as well. Being there are a lot of active members here, offering suggestions and such as things build up. As well as new tags being issued can also create confusion. But to help clear confusion and know who you are getting the information from, at the bottom of the forum you can click "The Team" and be directed to a list showing you who the official mods are. At the time of this post, there are currently 5...

Knowing this information should help clear up what rules are official, and what rules may look official, but were never truely agreed on by the heads of the board. ;p

Accurate Spelling and Grammar is not on my radar at all, especially for our ESL peeps.

Please no one feel any pressure to be perfect if English is not your thing. Whether it is a language barrier issue or a learning disability, (like the trouble little o'l me has with Dyslexia) you are welcome here. If we can't understand we will ask for clarification. 8-)

I'm happy to see this issue brought up , . . .

and not that I really care about spelling but it should be

bureaucracy

My tissue is with locking topics ,

YOU may feel its done and over but without interactions or that place to respond will only impede progress .

For instance the We are a success and the bots have invaded topic ,
I wanted to reply but its locked so I can't then I forget what I wanted to
write about , get lost in the mix and that information is lost forever .
O k not so dramatic but at the ole ole forum more often than not topics
were locked by those not even involved in the discussion leaving things
un-finalized . Just because the moderators are fed up with it and want
to sweep it under the magic carpet of lockness monster doesn't mean
others won't want to continue with input .

Thank you for your time and consideration in this topic .

No disassemble ! - Reassemble !

PS Yeah I know sometimes it will be best to lock things but that is rare imho .
Muah X Meow ^,.^~! TTFN
