How to Remove Pose Spots from Furniture

Note:
  • Poses can only removed from furniture items that are using the default basic ‘Root’ node.
  • Furniture that uses custom node/bone structure will break if you replace it’s xsf.

    Incompatible Furniture that use custom node/bone structure include.
    • Meshes that physically move
    • Meshes with moving parts
    • Meshes that cast light
    This method is ONLY for furniture. Rooms will break if you use this.
Create an Empty XRF with no seat nodes.
  • Open Notepad and paste in the following text.

  • Save As Empty.xsf
    (Name can be anything but it must have the .xsf or it will not save correctly)

Open your project in Create Mode
  • Go to the Config tab
  • Replace the product’s existing xsf with the one you created.
  • Apply Changes and the seats will have vanished.
If the mesh vanishes the mesh uses a custom node structure. Your only recourse in that case is to contact the mesher and ask if they will make an alternate no seat version.
No matter where you go, there you are...

How to Remove Pose Spots from Rooms.

So here's my version of a pose removal file that works for rooms. Ideal for a great room mesh that is ruined by ew kissy poses or ones stuck halfway through a wall. :mrgreen:

Adding this file in the Config tab of Create Mode's Editor will delete all of the poses, furniture nodes and light source of the original mesh.
It will replace them with 6 default standing poses, 8 furniture floor nodes and omni lighting located near the origin point of the room.
I do not advise using this in a room with animated furniture as it may make it appear broken or partially missing.


Copy and paste everything in the code box below into a text or document editor such as Notepad.

Add .xsf as the file extension. Your saved file name should look something like this: MyRoomFile.xsf

Save as All file types.

Note: When naming any kind of file for IMVU you should only use upper and lower case letters: A - Z and a - z from the 26 letter English alphabet only.
Numbers: 0 - 9
Square brackets, and underscores: _ [ ]
Do not use special characters or spaces.
