Check for any other scalers down the line from the head back to the pelvis node. Or even back to the root. I know I have had a lot of issues with anything else that scales the avatar that comes before the bone I try to scale. One problem I did have as well was a stupid nose ring that when I wore it...

When you look at his rewards, he has varying levels; starting at 1$ and jumping to 25$; but his is by a weekly basis.
So it's not 1$ a month, it's 4$ a month, etc.
