Re: What determines object order in the scene on runtime?

Well, we've pretty much solved interactions inside a single product for Classic client: https://help.imvu.com/s/question/0D51L00005lPWMCSA4/transparency-draw-order-guide How multiple products interact - thats still a mystery. The release of new client may or may not render those findings obsolete th...

Re: What determines object order in the scene on runtime?

I see. My theory is when object origins are too close together, the code which compares the distance of objects to camera "freaks out". In case of sitting on the object (avatar and furniture origin positions match) there will be literally no way to determine which one is closer. Same in cases when t...

Re: What determines object order in the scene on runtime?

That's interesting. Your product works as advertised, but so is any other furniture from the shop (like lamps). I couldnt get them to clip avatar opacities at all. More, 2 avatars with blended opacity do not clip eachother as well. Looks like in case of furniture and avatars (that should be items on...

What determines object order in the scene on runtime?

Internal scene hierarchy is important, because it affects opacity drawing order. https://help.imvu.com/s/question/0D51L00005lPWMCSA4/transparency-draw-order-guide. But I can only guess how this order is determined past the individual product level. This worries me; what if we can manipulate it someh...

Re: Does anyone have saved copy of IMVU's Unity API?

Any progress on DLL version? I've made an demo of avatar control rig in Unity. Next step would be is to combine it with actual avatar loader and to test posting screenshots on Feed. But for that I'll need API. http://www.mediafire.com/file/d3ed8cn5b ... +maker.zip

Re: Does anyone have saved copy of IMVU's Unity API?

DLL is fine for me, if it works. Maybe I'll even have proof of concept of what I was trying to do soon. I do not know if sharing source code would be any more dangerous (tried IMVUnity back then and it doesnt allow you to access mesh data by script; only way would be a video memory ripper which even...

Re: Does anyone have saved copy of IMVU's Unity API?

If the mesh conversion is done on local PC, then sure, no servers are required. I just did not know. What about Photon, I think the main point of its integration has to do something with seeing other players' outfits in multiplayer. Otherwise you wouldnt be able to obtain assets from other accounts ...

Re: Does anyone have saved copy of IMVU's Unity API?

Well, my assumption was that this system relied on some kind of server to process the assets. So new products would fail to be converted since that server doesnt work. But if I'm wrong and everything happens on local PC, thats good news. I wonder if it is the same for photon-enabled multiplayer vers...

Good job making it work! I have two questions, first, does it work with newer products (submitted after cancellation), and second, will you share your "patched" version?

Re: Does anyone have saved copy of IMVU's Unity API?

Well, if you interested in newest one, I found the file. Though I am not sure you will be able to use it. They made the authentification more complex in later versions, and developers were required to sign up for the tester program and obtain special AppId number. No idea if it can be obtained today...

Re: DimX89 meshes: random, experimental, furry stuff

I've got a working example of "HD fur" which contains some extra maps: http://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=40967645 Named after my shapeshifting gooey otter Veela who's formely existed as "all-in-one" avatar. The extras contained in this fur give compatiblility with these products by Te...

Chibi kitsune now has a big sister! http://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=40949113 As usual, with lots of triggers! (plus no bugs this time) Avatar is compatible with most products in the shop, however the waist line is customised so you'll have to wear both top and bottom of some kind to...

New finding about material system

Not sure if it was known before, but I data mined one new keyword. You all probably know "Skin Composite" flag of the material; it lets you mix your material with "skin" (material index 7 by default) using opacity map. The thing is that the "skin" index can be configured individually for each materi...

If you navigate to your IMVU project folder (C:/Users/[username]/MyDocuments/IMVU Projects for Win7), you will see files and folders. The files are yor projects in *.CHKN format (a sort of archive). The folders (named with your projectname + " assets" suffix) are temporary data, created while you op...

Re: Overcoming Tiled Textures In Rooms etc.

Most anyskin products have their UV adjusted on the meshing stage so they only "sample" small portion of texture space. This method just eliminates the need for meshing.
